Welcoming Fall with Handmade Joy & Islamic Learning

Summer is winding down, kids return to school, settling into new routines, new classrooms, adjusting to new teachers, and reconnecting with friends. It can be an exciting time, but also a big transition. For parents, this season brings an opportunity to keep Islamic learning present at home, through simple, meaningful activities that reinforce faith while supporting the language and literacy skills they are practising in class. As for me, I've been in a creative flow! I completed the hanger covers for my grandchildren and I've been happily stuck on fruit-themed crocheted items. The Prophet Nuh (AS) resource is now available in the TPT shop for families to use at home during this busy back-to-school season and I'm also putting the finishing touches on Prophet Adam (AS) colouring page for my grandchildren, which will be available in the shop soon.

As mentioned earlier, my end-of-summer creativity led me to complete hanger covers for my granddaughter as future gifts.  My strawberry-themed projects continued from my last blog, where I shared my strawberry-themed tablecloth with a matching kitchen towel with crocheted edging.  Recently, I completed a keyring and a coaster. That's it for now with the strawberry makes but they've been a "sweet" way to close out the summer.

The newest resource available in the TPT store is the Prophet Nuh (AS) worksheet pack for grades 1-3.  It includes the story of the prophet along with follow-up comprehension activities.  True or false questions and a story- sequencing cut-and-paste task to support early literacy. For an extra hands-on, fun activity the matching jigsaw puzzle can be downloaded for free and printed on light cardstock, ready for little hands to assemble.

As fall approaches, I'm also in the midst of making another freebie.  The Prophet Adam (AS) colouring page for kids which can be used as a follow-up to the prophet's story and it will be available in the TPT shop soon.
